Independent Confidential Support Person services are employee-led and can only be requested directly by the employee. Our role is to provide impartial, professional support in line with Fair Work requirements, ensuring individuals feel heard, prepared, and supported during difficult workplace situations.

We act solely in the interests of the employee. All conversations, notes, and support provided remain strictly confidential, and no information is shared with the organisation without the employee’s explicit authorisation. This ensures trust, psychological safety, and genuine independent support when it is needed most.

Independent Confidential Support Person Services

For employees who find themselves in situations where a support person is needed, but do not have access to personal support—or prefer not to involve family or friends—this service provides a professional, independent alternative.

Aligned with Fair Work Ombudsman expectations and workplace relations requirements, we offer impartial, confidential support to ensure employees feel supported and able to participate fully in workplace processes.

Our role is not to advocate or speak on behalf of the employee, but to provide a steady, professional presence that supports understanding, emotional regulation, and clarity throughout the process.

Support may include:

  • Attending workplace meetings as a support person

  • Assisting with note-taking or dictation

  • Helping employees process information before and after meetings

  • Supporting individuals to feel prepared and grounded during difficult conversations

  • Providing a confidential and neutral presence in sensitive situations

This service is particularly valuable during formal meetings, performance discussions, investigations, or any situation where an employee may feel vulnerable, overwhelmed, or unsure how to navigate the process alone.

Support Reduces Workplace Stress

Employees who feel supported during difficult workplace conversations are more likely to stay engaged, communicate clearly, and make informed decisions.

Having the right support person helps reduce anxiety, improves confidence, and ensures employees feel heard and protected during challenging situations.

Clear Support Creates Better Outcomes

Workplace meetings involving performance concerns, investigations, or conflict are more effective when employees have appropriate support present.

A support person helps maintain fairness, accurate communication, and emotional safety, protecting both the employee and the organisation.

Early Support Prevents Bigger Problems

When employees access support early, workplace issues are less likely to escalate into formal grievances, stress leave, or long-term disengagement.

Independent support creates trust, encourages resolution, and helps people navigate difficult situations before they become larger organisational risks.
