Daring Culture brings documentary storytelling, project documentation and living archive practice together in one integrated service.

We work alongside communities, organisations and specialist project teams to capture knowledge as it is shared and work as it unfolds. through photography, film, sound, oral history and written documentation.

We then help transform those materials into structured, accessible and enduring records: from documentary films and photographic collections to oral histories, project archives and resources for future generations.

Our approach recognises that meaningful documentation is not simply about capturing content. It requires careful consideration of consent, cultural authority, ownership, access, context and future use.

We recognise that stories, knowledge and documentary materials carry responsibilities.

Daring Culture approaches projects with careful consideration of informed consent, cultural authority, Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property, confidentiality, attribution, access, storage and future use.

Where projects involve Aboriginal cultural knowledge, Daring Culture works under the direction and cultural authority of the relevant Traditional Owners, knowledge holders and Aboriginal organisations, and alongside appropriately qualified cultural and heritage specialists where required.

Every story deserves to be told in the right way. We work with people, organisations and communities to create tailored solutions that honour your story, your goal and your legacy.
